TYPE: Construction Site Progress Monitoring & Marketing
SECTOR: Construction & Development Industry
LOCATION: Brabazon Site, Filton Airport, Bristol
PURPOSE : Capture aerial footage on specific routes in order to monitor progress of the site and capture marketing footage to showcase the site from its best angles for the sales and marketing department.
HOW IT WAS DONE:
We were initially approached by the YTL Development Team to demonstrate what could be achieved through professional aerial photography and videography. After discussing their objectives, addressing operational considerations and showcasing our capabilities, we were appointed and inducted onto the site to support the project on an ongoing basis.
To ensure consistency and clarity, we developed a bespoke capture guide that outlined a range of aerial photographs and video sequences available during each visit. This allowed the marketing team to select the content most relevant to their needs while keeping deliverables organised and expectations aligned. The guide also remained flexible, enabling new ideas and requirements to be incorporated as the development evolved.
Over the years, we have built a strong working relationship with the YTL team and have developed a thorough understanding of both the site and the marketing objectives behind each visit. This familiarity allows us to work efficiently, anticipate requirements and proactively suggest new ideas that help showcase the progress and scale of the development.
Long-term partnerships like this are particularly rewarding, as they allow creativity and trust to grow alongside the project itself.
TYPE: Remedial & Construction Work
SECTOR: Infrastructure Industry
LOCATION: Ubley, Yeo Valley & Blagdon, Chew Valley, BANES
PURPOSE : Capture aerial footage for progress reports, stakeholder updates and marketing. The clients work, after completion, is simply not visible for the general public, as it’s so well done. that nobody would notice! The clients projects are also things that the general public doesn’t want to know about either, as dealing with infrastructure involving waste management is not ‘attractive’ for the majority of people; but we all depend on what our client does.
HOW IT WAS DONE
As a long-standing client, we are regularly called upon to document infrastructure projects of varying scale and complexity. While some projects are highly visible, others are almost entirely hidden from view, with little or no evidence of the work remaining once construction has been completed.
This particular project involved the installation of a 3km pipeline connecting treatment facilities between Ubley, around Yoe Valley Farm to Blagdon, alongside upgrades and remedial works at both sites. Much of the work took place in locations that were carefully integrated into the surrounding landscape, making aerial documentation one of the most effective ways to record the project’s progress.
Throughout the project, we captured imagery from key stages of the works, creating a visual record from commencement through to completion. This provided the client with valuable documentation of the engineering effort involved, as well as a clear demonstration of the scale of the investment being made.
One of the most impressive aspects of the project was the quality of the reinstatement works. By the time construction was complete, there was very little indication that major infrastructure improvements had taken place. Without the aerial imagery captured along the way, most people would never realise the extent of the work that had been carried out beneath the surface.
